Manager of Creative Services & Senior Graphic Designer
I was hired from Texas and relocated to Florida for this position. While at Zymphony, I held two major positions, Graphic Designer and Department Manager. Finally, the Creative Services department shut down August 2014 due to an internal restructuring and a change in business direction. Zymphony no longer provided web services after August, maintaining only the managed services portion of their service offerings.
As Creative Services Manager (promoted from Senior Graphic Designer)
-Manager (middle management, reporting to Vice President of Operations) over 4 web developers/programmers, 2 graphic artists, 3 SEO specialists, 1 copywriter
-Responsible for Project Management, to include weekly reports, Gantt charts, weekly management meeting, weekly team meeting, weekly sales meeting, and onsite sales engineering meetings as requested from Sales Team.
-Created and directed the company marketing campaigns, drip campaigns, and assisted with marketing towards alternative verticals to broaden our customer base.
-Oversaw approximately 100 client websites, our own internal website, tickets and tasks within AutoTask™, our time management software.
-Took escalation phone calls from our clients when needed and provided excellence in customer care
-Lead a majority of our kick-off meetings with new clients to properly scope our IT, web, art, and marketing projects. This would involve leading the customers down a path of structured questions to ensure we were capturing their vision to provide them with the product they were proud to own.
-Management duties to include one-on-one meetings with staff to ensure their growth within the company and job satisfaction. Reviewed time cards, attendance, and performance scoring each employee on a concrete, tangible system with specific examples for maximum understanding. Clearly outlined expectations and assisted the team with the path to achieve our goals.
As Senior Graphic Designer (initial role as hired)
-Created all artwork for marketing campaigns, email campaigns, email blasts, informative documents, sales brochures and “glossies”
-Responsible for all digital assets and asset management, created and upheld corporate style guide
-Grew to become responsible for all graphics and front end design elements on website-related items needed for department
-Was already very familiar with programming and was given front-end UI/UX responsibilities as well as front-end development, to include Responsive Web Design (RWD)
